Accessibility for All of Your People
Millions of computer users have disabilities that affect how they use the Web.
From colorblindness and reading glasses to complete blindness and inability to use a mouse, many users have special needs that require additional accessibility features. Unfortunately, the majority of Web sites make it difficult or sometimes even impossible for people with disabilities to use the Web effectively.
Hile Group’s web developers are dedicated to making your site accessible for all users. We create your site using Web accessibility standards so that users with disabilities can easily understand, navigate, and interact with your site.
How we make sites accessible
All Hile Group developed sites have the following accessibility features:
- Ability to grow or shrink to conform to your viewers’ screen resolutions and provide optimal display
- All fonts are in percentages to allow increasing and decreasing in size without breaking the layout of the site for those with weaker vision
- Site built in layers instead of tables, which eliminates excessive labeling for screen readers
- Commands and skips for screen reading software users
- Ability to be easily tabbed through for navigation
- All images are tagged
- Printer-friendly, which saves viewers paper and ink
- Portable and accessible on PDAs
- CSS driven, which decreases download time
All Hile Group sites are run through the following tests before launch:
- Color and contrast tests on each design for color blindness
- Printing test for usability
- Test user tabbing abilities of site
