About Us

Emily Kelahan was born on the banks of the mighty Mississippi and raised just blocks from a steel mill by an operating engineer and respiratory therapist. Safe-operations is more than a concept to her; it’s what ensures that her family and friends return home from work able to hug their children and live full lives. She is proud to join a team of professionals dedicated to transformative change and human thriving.

Before joining Hile Group, Emily worked as a philosophy professor and debate coach and as a professional development specialist in public education advocacy. She has also maintained a strong portfolio of community service with experience in leadership roles on non-profit boards and municipal boards and commissions. She currently serves as co-chair of the Carlisle Borough Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Emily delights in critically examining systems, norms, and cultures collaboratively and in transforming the status quo to better serve people and core values. She looks forward to putting her lived experience and technical expertise in systems thinking and problem-solving to work for Hile Group clients.

Emily lives in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She loves cleaning and organizing, cooking and eating, gardening, wellness, travel, and spending time with her favorite humans and animals.
